I have worked as a consultant in personnel and employee development for over twenty years, using my psychology and counselling qualifications to help employees both develop and deal with difficult issues. For the last fourteen years I have worked freelance and I provide therapy at my private practice and in companies.
I further qualified and gained an MA, in Integrative Psychotherapy, at the Minster Centre in London, a leading centre for formative, humanistic and integrative psychotherapy, so that more in-depth work could be offered to clients.
I am a Registered (Accredited) Psychotherapist and Counsellor (BACP), a UKRC Registered Independent Counsellor and an affiliate counsellor for a number of organisations who provide counselling through Employee Assistant Programmes (EAPs) to companys' employees throughout the UK. I am member of both the Solent and Wessex Psychotherapy groups and also the HACP (Hampshire Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. In the last three years I have been an active event organiser with the Sussex PCSR (Pyschotherapy and Counselling for Social Responsiblity) who offer lectures related to mental health issues aimed at people who work with children or adults in education or social care.
I provide training in counselling and also work as a supervisor for psychotherapists and counsellors in both private practice, local counselling organisations and charities.
My experience has covered a wide range of issues and difficulties, these are primarily:-
Abuse (emotional, mental, physical and sexual) Addiction, Anger, Anxiety, Behavioural difficulties, Bereavement and grief, Bullying, Career development, Depression, Dreams, Emotional difficulties, Loss, Life issues, Loneliness, Panic, Personal development, Sexual Development, Self esteem, Stress, Trauma and work Issues.
My private practice is based at 7 Sycamore Avenue Hiltingbury, Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire SO53 5RJ. This is situated within a ten minute drive of Winchester, Eastleigh, Southampton and Romsey. It is easily accessed from the M3, and it has good parking.
